This review best describes Kevin Clark's trumpet work thus:

At the time of writing (Thursday January 07, 2016), Kevin has three further public appearances around the GTA. Do not miss the opportunity to hear this man from New Orleans at:

1. Kitchener-Waterloo Dixieland Jazz Club, 316 Marsland Drive, Waterloo. Saturday January 09, 2 to 5 pm

2. The Kevin Clark swing band at Swing Toronto, 805 Dovercourt House. Saturday 9 pm to 1 am.

3. With Red Hot Ramble, The Rex Hotel, Toronto, Sunday January 10, 3:30 to 6:30 pm.

A full house of 175 fans were treated to a suberb evening at Hugh's Room , January 06.
It featured:

Kevin Clark/trumpet/vocals
Alex Pangman/singer
Ross Wooldridge/reeds
Peter Hill/piano
Chris Lamont/drums
Chris Banks/bass

Jamez Bee/MC
Steven Butterworth/sousaphone
Marie Laveau (aka Roberta Hunt)/piano/lipstick
Denis Keldie/accordion

It was an evening of often sublime music from some of Toronto's finest, led by NOLA's best . The "Bill Bailey" mid-song interplay duet between Kevin and Ross will live long in the memory.
A wonderful way to help start the jazz New Year in Toronto.

Kevin has promised he will be back again in January 2017. In case you might wonder why he comes here each January, well apart from having an affinity for this city, where he worked for several years, the Mississippi steamboat, that is his base in New Orleans, enters dry dock every year at ths time.
