"Red Hot" is right on.

At their monthly Rex gig on Sunday November 8, the band was so energized and animated that drummer Glenn Anderson was seen to be "airborne" at one point by bandleader Roberta Hunt during set 1.

Bassist Jack Zarowski said he could feel the energy coming right back to the band from the audience.

In the next set, the energy level did not abate. But proceedings were brought to a halt when Glenn stood up to announce he had put the bass drum pedal right through the rear of the drum.

Cries and looks of shock and horror.

Tambourines were pressed into service by Alison Young and Roberta in the front row, as the Gospel song proceeded, while duct tape arrived from behind the bar, as the song continued, to patch up the hole. Glenn was then able to complete the set 'without missing a beat'!
The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

By the end of the set a new bass drumhead had been located by the House and prompty installed to replace the faulty skin, all to the amazement of those on stage and on the floor.

Whatever next? Fire bells, firetrucks and evacuation of the Rex?
Nah, the band has already done that.

Red Hot.
